Course Summary
The Learning Leadership course is a transformational leadership development program built around the principles of Emotional Intelligence. Participants learn how to move beyond traditional command-and-control management and develop the personal and interpersonal skills required to lead effectively in today’s people-centered workplace. The course emphasizes that leadership begins with self-leadership and progresses through a structured development journey that strengthens both personal and social competencies.
Throughout the program, participants explore the distinction between managing processes and leading people, while developing practical skills that improve decision-making, communication, influence, adaptability, motivation, and relationship-building. The course is organized around five core areas of emotional intelligence:
1. Leadership Foundations and Emotional Intelligence
Participants learn the evolution from traditional industrial-age leadership models to modern leadership approaches that recognize people as an organization’s most valuable asset. They discover how emotional intelligence drives leadership effectiveness and supports long-term organizational success.
2. Self-Awareness
Leaders develop a deeper understanding of their emotions, strengths, limitations, values, and behavioral patterns. Participants learn techniques for emotional awareness, accurate self-assessment, and building authentic self-confidence while increasing their ability to positively influence others.
3. Self-Regulation
This section focuses on managing disruptive emotions, overcoming negative thinking patterns, and responding effectively under pressure. Participants learn practical strategies for self-control, adaptability, accountability, trustworthiness, and innovative thinking that improve personal performance and leadership effectiveness.
4. Self-Motivation
Participants discover how thoughts, emotions, values, and personal purpose create motivation. They learn how to identify personal motivators, manage internal self-talk, and develop the leadership qualities of achievement drive, commitment, initiative, and optimism while learning how to motivate others more effectively.
5. Social Awareness
The course shifts focus from self to others, helping leaders build empathy, strengthen communication, develop others, leverage diversity, and create collaborative, trust-based environments. Participants learn how to better understand what motivates people and how to build lasting influence through meaningful relationships.
