Learning To Regulate the Chatter:

This book contains the framework of the five (5) mental skills and a personal roadmap for development. Your new goals will include self-awareness and self-regulation and the objective is to regulate disruptive thoughts and distracting emotions. This is my best effort to help you bridge the gap between who you are and your true potential. These ideas are based on the newly revealed truths found in the field of Neuroscience and the learned behaviors supported in the study of Emotional Intelligence.

To my children:
Learning, living and applying these ideas in my own life I have worked hard to lead you by example. The ideas, the words in this book are my best effort to simplify this complicated study of “self”. Based on scripture and supported by new science, what we are now learning is a game-changer. I pray that you understand and learn to apply these ideas within your own life. God willing, pass these onto your children and others around you for years to come.

Prologue:
It’s taken me over thirty years to get these ideas on paper. A lot has changed in that time. I have come to realize that my entire career path has prepared me for this time in history. The last twenty years of designing and developing adult learning material for corporate clients has provided the skills, insight and necessary experience to design this instructional guide and outline these five mental skills in a way that can be understood and taught. There is so much more to share, God willing more books and discussions will follow. I am excited about this time in history and adding value to others.
