Internal Distractions, Part 1 (See CourseWare)
Internal distractions are based on new findings of the brain that allow us to better understand how the brain synchronizes with the body. As we learn more about the human nervous system, we can study a brain exhibit different emotions and watch a brain think during specific tasks. The old reference, “right brain good, left brain bad” has now been redefined. Today’s technology identifies different brain centers and sections of the brain each with a variety of fascinating roles that show up in day-to-day decision making.
One fascinating role the brain plays is like an automatic alarm system when it comes to negative news. Whether the negative news comes externally from people, places, or events or internally with negative thoughts, the alarm system can sound-off and impact the brain-body sync and critical decision making.
