The United States Military and Department of Defense has refined the art of training and developing an individual to perform well under extreme life-threating situations. Together, personal performance and military leadership influence others to accomplish the mission by providing purpose, direction, and motivation. There are many high-performance job roles and job titles that require the same skills and abilities as those serving in the military. An individual must learn how to do all extraordinarily well in the field of personal performance and leadership influence. As we learn from our military’s “brain training” techniques, mental and emotional skill sets are just as important as technical skills and abilities.
